Dive into history for a day. In 2019, the Société historique de la Saskatchewan (SHS) invites schools and the community to discover VOYAGEURS' time. The 14th edition of Heritage Days will be held at the end of September, at Fort Carlton Provincial Park. School registration is open.
Every year, the SHS works with its partners to develop educational, fun and enjoyable activities. The theme and venue of the event are carefully chosen to give participants an unforgettable experience.
This year Heritage Days will celebrate the Voyageur and fur trade era at the Fort Carlton Provincial Park National Historic Site. Beautifully located along the North Saskatchewan River, the fort was rebuilt on the site of the Hudson Bay fur trade post and provides a unique sense of authenticity. The event is offered to Fransaskois schools and French immersion schools (September 25, 26, 27) and to the community (Saturday, September 28).
